Within the DeKalb Market Corridor is the big New Brooklyn Meals Corridor with the outpost of a cat

The Dekalb market has come a long way from its beginnings as a ragged collection of grocery sellers in shipping containers. On Friday the market was reborn (if only in name) as The Dekalb Market Hall, a gigantic new food hall in the equally gigantic City Point development in downtown Brooklyn. The new market combines lights such as Alamo Drafthouse, Century 21 and Target.

A number of well-known suppliers had already been announced before the opening, including the first expansion of Katz’s Deli, which has created a new home in Brooklyn in the hall. Hard Times Sundaes – who recently jumped on the Food Hall train at Urbanspace Vanderbilt – will operate two restaurants here: a burger joint, similar to the one Andrew Zurica made in his truck, and a new bagel business with bread rings the Mill Basin Bagel Cafe. Arepa Lady will be there too.

Check out the full list of suppliers below, which includes over 40 different grocers, including ready-to-eat groceries, plus a butcher, cheese factory, bakery, and fishmonger.
