It is now more important than ever to support our local restaurants, bars and bakeries. A fun event on Saturday August 1st makes it easy to do just that. Tastes of Brooklyn returns for its annual food festival with 25 participating establishments in Gowanus, Park Slope, Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill. With tickets you receive a selected number of small dishes with drinks in restaurants of your choice. The proceeds will go to Seeds in the Middle, a nonprofit that creates sustainable farm stalls and school-run health programs in Brooklyn’s food deserts.

Tastes of Brooklyn has worked to support restaurants and small businesses in Brooklyn throughout the pandemic. As early as April, they created interactive maps of different parts of Brooklyn, showing which restaurants and bars are open for takeout and delivery.

The Tastes of Brooklyn Food Crawl takes place on Saturday, August 1st, from 12pm to 8pm. Free masks are distributed and volunteers ensure that participants wear them and maintain social distance. A $ 30 ticket gives you four flavors, and a $ 80 ticket gives you 12 flavors. You can buy a ticket here >>
