On Friday it has been five years since a Brooklyn woman disappeared and her mother continues to find her.

Chelsea Cobo disappeared in Sunset Park after getting into a taxi.

Her mother Rose Cobo only spoke to News 12.

“I feel stuck,” said Rose Cobo. “It’s hard to fathom that five years have passed. That is a long time.”

For Rose Cobo, the long five years have felt in some ways endless to her as she continues searching for her missing daughter.

“Let us have some understanding. It will never be closed. It will never be peaceful,” said Rose Cobo.

Chelsea Cobo was last seen getting into a taxi on May 7, 2016. She never came home again.

“I’m always looking. Always,” said Rose Cobo. “Life is so precious. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone.”

Rose Cobo’s will to find her daughter has only gotten stronger because she stopped people on the street and prayed with strangers on the sidewalk.

“Someone in a window somewhere [in] Saw something somewhere, “she said.

Since the disappearance of Chelsea, her mother has not stopped handing out flyers in the hopes that someone saw and spoke something.

She has now partnered with 911missing.org, a website designed to help others whose loved ones have also disappeared. The website uses tips and advice technology to help with your search.

“I just want her to come home one way or another. I beg people to have some compassion. They could tip, tip. You all know the tip line,” Rose Cobo pleaded.

Rose Cobo said her battle for justice and bringing her daughter home is far from over.

“Chels, I’ll never stop looking for you. You know and I know you know because I’m adamant,” she said.
