The electoral board participated in a polling station in Brooklyn Borough Hall on primary day.

There was a photo of Brooklyn Borough President and Mayor Leader Eric Adams in the polling station. The photo was shared on Twitter and caught the attention of dozens of voters who labeled it an “unfair home advantage”.

It was also seen as a potential violation of state electoral laws that prohibit election campaigning within 30 meters of a polling station.

The BOE became aware of this and tweeted back within an hour that the poster had been removed.

Meanwhile, Tuesday’s rain didn’t keep voters away from Borough Hall grounds. A coordinator reported a higher than expected turnout and over 500 people came by around 5 p.m. to cast their ballots
