NYPD officer, at the very least 1 extra BB gun shot in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – An NYPD officer and at least one other person were injured in an accidental BB gun shooting in Brooklyn.

It happened just before 5pm on Saturday in front of the Brownsville Houses.

Witnesses say someone arbitrarily shot BBs at pedestrians and parked cars on Mother Gaston Boulevard. Several car windows were smashed.

A man who was sitting in his car was hit in the head and the driver’s side window was smashed, and an officer responding to the scene was hit in the neck.

Both suffered minor injuries.
