NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 Games

NXT Championship – Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs Johnny Gargano (Last Man Standing Match): The main Brooklyn event that year was to include a triple threat title bout in which Ciampa defended against Gargano and Aleister Black. Unfortunately, a groin injury put Black out of action, so the fight was turned into the third episode of the Ciampa Gargano series, with the last standing man added.

NXT Women’s Championship – Shayna Baszler (c) against Kairi Sane: The rematch of the final of the first Mae Young Classic titled on the line had to happen sooner or later, and in Brooklyn it’s time. Baszler dominated her path to the championship and has been even more devastating since she defeated Ember Moon in New Orleans. But how will she fare defending the title against a woman who she knows can end her reign with a diving arm off the top rope?

NXT North American Championship – Adam Cole (c) v Ricochet: If you’re looking for the usual TakeOver match that has everyone buzzing by the end of the night, you might not have to look any further than this fight. Ricochet had his run-ins with the Unduspited Era and now he’s on the right track to becoming a leader and what he values most: the North American title he earned over WrestleMania weekend. These two former indie darlings will no doubt steal the show’s SummerSlam weekend.

NXT Tag Team Championship – Undisputed Era (c) against Mustache Mountain: If you’ve seen these two teams compete against each other in London, and if you’ve watched the rematch on NXT TV where Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong took the championship back, you have no choice but to look forward to it, that these two teams lead them back one more time. Trent Seven and Tyler Bate would like to add their names to the shortlist of two-time NXT Tag Team Champions to challenge the aforementioned Cole Ricochet battle for the Match of the Night Honors.

Velveteen Dream vs. EC3: That feud started across the pond in London when Dream was eliminated during a day match on EC3, and it will come to a head in Brooklyn when they battle it out in a one-on-one match. While there is no championship on the line, you have to assume that the winner of the bout will be aimed at claiming an NXT title shot, or at least whoever the North American champion is at the Brooklyn celebrations inferred from it.
