Man injured throughout hearth struggle blazes at dwelling with main mess in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

GREENPOINT, Brooklyn (WABC) – A man was injured in a two-alarm apartment fire in Brooklyn on Sunday morning.

At around 10 a.m., flames broke out on the second floor of the building on North Henry Street

Firefighters rushed to the scene where they encountered great disorder on different levels of the house.

Eyewitnesses said they saw flames pour out of the windows.

“There was smoke all over the place at the time, so I went across the street to have a look and it went out in flames. There were already fire trucks lining up here to put up the ladders – it was pretty intense, crazy,” Wes said Zamora.

Witnesses told Eyewitness News that the victim is a man who lives alone.

There is no word on what could have started the fire.
