Man in East Flatbush, Brooklyn fatally hit by a driver hit and run

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) – A man was fatally hit by a driver hit and run in Brooklyn.

Police found the 54-year-old victim at 10:58 p.m. on Rockaway Parkway and Lenox Road in East Flatbush

He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigators assume that while trying to cross the street, he was hit by a white BMS and thrown onto the road.

The vehicle then fled south from the crime scene.

There have been no arrests so far. The name of the man killed was not released until the family was notified.

A few hours after the explosion, the city announced that the day’s fireworks shows in several locations had been canceled out of caution.
