Levi’s Brooklyn live performance, Should Put on denims

The popular indie bands Haim and Sleigh Bells gave an exclusive rock concert in Brooklyn Bridge Park last night.

The ticket? Free – as long as you wore Levi’s.

The Levi’s sponsored event was strictly enforced. Guests who didn’t arrive with the denim brand were promptly turned away, and many tweeted their frustration.

“F — @ LEVIS” tweeted @infinityguitarz. “I’ll buy happy branded jeans.”

While others joked about the rules:

Hopefully you don’t plan on going to the @LEVIS @HAIMtheband @sleighbells concert in your other jeans. #WTH? pic.twitter.com/96eHvosg4B

Those who obeyed the rules were greeted by a huge blackboard with the blank “Me ___ in Levi’s” to be filled in. As you can imagine, people got creative:

Hundreds of people came to the event but it would have been more crowded if all jeans brands were welcome.

Sleigh Bells took the stage first, followed by the girl band Haim.

There were food trucks in front of a beautiful city backdrop.

And an equally photogenic bar.

The view alone was worth the entry fee.
