Councilor recovers from Brooklyn automotive accident

BROOKLYN, NY – A Brooklyn councilwoman is recovering in the hospital after being involved in a car accident on Monday.

Farah Louis is expected to make a full recovery.

Her sister tells NY1 that she was driving alone on Monday morning when a motorcyclist crashed into the passenger side of her vehicle on Kings Highway and Avenue J.

Several local leaders, including mayoral candidate Eric Adams, have visited Twitter to wish her a full and speedy recovery.

Police said the 32-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition with head trauma.

Sources say he has no right of way and no license.

According to the investigators, no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
