She is a new mom with a busy hip hop career.

But Cardi B was in no rush Thursday when she showed up three hours late for a gig at the Marlboro Community Houses in Brooklyn, New York.

Fan waited patiently for the 26-year-old Bartier Cardi hitmaker, who handed out coats and shoes to families in need at the event.

In total, the rapper spent about 90 minutes with her fans handing out thousands of coats and shoes donated with the help of Trax NYC, Daniels Leder and NY Tent Sale.

Upon arriving at the event, Cardi told the local news how she hopes her charitable donations would set a good example for future generations.

“I want these children to learn from me that you have to give something back to the hood. These children follow me, these children listen to my music. ‘

“We have to be a role model for the children and the future,” added Cardi, according to New York station PIX-11.
