Brooklyn Structure: Constructing Brooklyn Awards return in July

The best development projects in the district will get their moment in the sun this summer when the 2017 Building Brooklyn Awards return.

Organized by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the awards recognize development projects that enrich the district economically, culturally and aesthetically. This year, the winners were selected in 15 categories including community art, adaptive reuse and affordable housing. The 15 winners in 2017 are an increase from 10 in 2016. The winners are selected by a jury made up of independent architects, town planners and other business leaders.
