A Brooklyn man faces multiple charges in connection with the death of a four-month-old girl earlier this month.

Ricardo Price, 23, was in an apartment in the Roosevelt Houses with his girlfriend’s young daughter, Royalty Kemp, on June 23 when police began crying uncontrollably.

Police believe Price responded by hopping them up and down, with the infant’s head repeatedly hitting his knee.

Royalty Kemp was brought to NYC Health & Hospitals Woodhull that day by her mother and Price with traumatic head injuries, police said. She was later transferred to NYC Health & Hospitals Bellevue, where she was pronounced dead on July 1.

Price, who is not Kemp’s father, has been charged with several crimes including attempted murder, assault and reckless assault on a child.

Neighbors tell News 12 that Kemp and her mother only moved into the building a few months ago.
