Brooklyn lady needs to assist transgender and homeless folks get medical health insurance

A Brooklyn woman reaches out to people in need of health insurance.

Talia Vaughn is working on enrolling people with SelectHealth, the insurance company she thinks is helping people with mental health issues or considering gender-based confirmatory surgery.

Her goal is to talk to transgender, homeless and HIV-vulnerable people.

While this Pride Month has been different in recent years, the musician says it’s no different that we have to take care of ourselves.

“We focus on pride, all these celebrations and a lot of fanfare, but we don’t have to lose track. There is still a fight. There’s still a battle going on as health care matters and SelectHealth is a great plan. “said Vaughn.
