Brooklyn Guard visits Dayton Flyers – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

DAYTON – Keith Williams, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard in the 2017 class from Brooklyn, NY, will begin an unofficial visit to the Dayton Flyers today, he announced on Twitter on Thursday.

Williams, a senior at Bishop Loughlin High School, is a three-star recruit, according to Rivals.com. He attended the Cincinnati Bearcats on September 23rd. According to Julius Kim of Phenom Hoops, he plans to visit the state of Oklahoma on October 7th. On September 7th, he received an offer from the Southern Methodist.

The Flyers received three oral pledges from members of the 2017 class: 6-4 Guard Jordan Davis of Irmo, SC; 6-10 forward / middle Jordan Pierce, of Scotch Plains, NJ; and 6-0 guard McKinley Wright, Champlin Park, Minn. Dayton has two open scholarships. There’s always the chance that UD could fill a scholarship or two with a subclass transfer or a graduate transfer next spring that could play in the 2017-18 season.

In the past few weeks, two players Dayton has recruited have selected other schools. Anthony Gaines, a 6-4 security guard at New Hampton School (NH), signed on in the Northwest. Sean Mobley, a 6-9 forward from Melbourne, Florida, chose Virginia Commonwealth.
