Brooklyn Faculty Undergraduate Movie Pageant scheduled for June 24th and 25th

Brooklyn College student Harry Keener’s short film Lou & Crocks will be screened at the 39th annual Brooklyn College Undergraduate Film Festival.

The 39th annual Brooklyn College Undergraduate Film Festival will showcase the achievements of the college’s undergraduate film students through an online event June 24-25 and is free and open to the public.

Faculty, alumni and invited industry professionals will evaluate 48 films, including experimental and documentary works. Awards and prizes are provided by a variety of industry sponsors including Film Forum, BAM, Abel Cine, Canon, Xeno Lights, AVID, Gotham Sound, Entertainment Partners, NYWIFT, Pond 5.

Brooklyn College Film Department professor and chair Annette Danto is proud of Class 2021, which graduated 105 this year.

“Following the example of last year’s students who also studied COVID-19 restrictions and made great films, Brooklyn College film students showed resilience, ingenuity, and great determination as they tackled a variety of pandemic health and safety issues Adjusted security guidelines and made some really successful notable short films, “said Danto. “I am thrilled that you will share your incredible work with the world.”
