September 1, 2020: 901 days

Celebrate everything in Memphis on September 1st with 901-day celebrations. From shopping at our favorite small businesses to donating to local charities, it’s a full day to show off our city pride. It’s important to take your time, and what better day than a Friday afternoon? Every Friday lunchtime, Amy Balentine of the Memphis Center for Mindful Living guides attendees through free meditation practices to relieve stress and help individuals find balance. September 5, 2020: Virtual 5th Annual Jockeys & Juleps

The annual Jockeys & Juleps party hosted by the Southern Reins Center for Equine Therapy is practically on September 5th this year. With party packages available, you can enjoy bourbon and wine pulls, a live auction, and more from the comfort of your own home. September 10-15, 2020: Go the extra mile for Special Olympics Greater Memphis

Walk, stroll, jog, or run on your favorite trail or course for the virtual 3 miles and 6 miles of the Special Olympics of Great Memphis. You can run anytime until September 10th and 15th. Registration for both races is $ 30 through September 7 and $ 35 through September 15. Participants will also receive a Race Swag that will be sent straight to their homes. September 15-28, 2020: Virtual Latin Festival 901

This year, experience Latin Fest 901 virtually as you celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The event runs from September 15-28 and includes Latin dance classes, expert talks on topics relevant to the Memphis community, artistic performances, and more. September 18 – October 4, 2020: The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County’s 2020 Heritage Ball online auction

This online auction has amazing items from a luxury trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to a virtual chat with country superstar Kelsea Ballerini and her singer / songwriter husband Morgan Evans. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Heritage Foundation, which is committed to preserving the stories and places of Williamson County. September 19, 2020: Fortitude Trail Race 50 km / 25 km

Lace up your tennis shoes for the Fortitude 50K / 25K run in Nesbit Park, which will benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The 50K race starts at 7 a.m. and the 25K race starts at 7:30 a.m. This is a no-waste race. So they ask the runners to bring their own water bottles and cups. September 24-27, 2020: Virtual Gonerfest

September 26, 2020: Virtual St. Jude Walk / Run to End Cancer in Children

The St. Jude Walk / Run to End Childhood Cancer is an annual 5 km race that raises funds to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital continue its work to end cancer in children. Although you won’t be around other runners, you can still do this race in the comfort of your neighborhood or on your treadmill. Fundraising.stjude.org
